The Company was founded by Julien Gallet in the year 1826.
Later went to his two sons, one of whom was Leon L. Gallet (1832-1899) who changed the name of the Company by His own name Leon Gallet.
In 1864 had begun the separation of Leon Gallet subsidiary of New York and began a relationship with Jules Racine of New York.
Racine was still importing watches Gallet in 1979.
Leon Gallet retired in 1883 and the company went on to their children.
after the death of Leon Gallet, the company in 1900 changed the name to Gallet & Cie, but it was changed again in 1907 to “Gallet & Cie Fabrique Electra.”
There was a further slight modification to the Trade Name in 1913 when he became “Fabrique d’Horlogerie Electra Gallet & Cie SA”
Racine was a name originally used by “Racine Fabrique d’Horlogerie” Rue de Rhone, Geneva, in 1828.
He was later a trade name used by Gallet & Co. S. A. The company has had several changes in name until 1979 when, according to recent data, referred to as the clocks Gallet Guinand.
